Legends of Slots sits in that comfortable casual corner where you tap a big button, watch colourful symbols tumble into place, and try to line up matches across a grid of spinning reels. There's no complicated setup. You open it, the reels animate, and you're already playing within seconds, which is exactly what you want on a short break.

Control-wise it keeps things simple: one tap to spin, swipe to browse the different themed boards, and a tidy menu for toggling the animations. I appreciated that you can turn down the particle effects, because the default setting is a little busy and it noticeably helped battery life during longer sessions. On my mid-range test phone it ran cool and smooth, and a thirty-minute stretch barely moved the battery.

What surprised me most was how the themed boards slowly introduce new symbol types and little chains of matches, so there's more thinking to it than the first few minutes suggest. It's the kind of game you keep open on the couch, half watching something else. Not deep, but genuinely relaxing, and well made for what it is.
