Gearsmith Workshop

Gearsmith Workshop puts you behind a workbench, assembling tiny clockwork contraptions from parts you fabricate and salvage. Customers bring requests, you figure out the mechanism, and you tinker until it ticks. It scratches the same itch as a good tidying game.

Everything is drag and drop, and the pieces snap into place satisfyingly. There's a one-handed layout in the settings that I appreciated, since I often played it on my phone while waiting around. It's gentle on the battery and stays cool, perfect for long idle sessions.

The progression is a touch grindy later on, when you're waiting for materials, but the core loop of solving each little machine stays charming throughout.
